Privacy Policy
Short version: we don't collect your data. We can't. There is no account and no server of ours.
Effective 7 September 2026. Applies to the Yepdose app for iPhone and Apple Watch and to yepdose.com.What the app stores
Your medicine list, schedules, dose history and profiles are stored on your device. If iCloud is on, they are also stored in your private iCloud database, which only you can access. Apple's terms govern iCloud.
What we receive
Nothing. Yepdose contains no analytics, no advertising, no crash-reporting SDK and no third-party code that talks to the internet. The App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected".
Medicine lookup (Family)
If you use medicine lookup or the label check, the medicine name you type is sent over HTTPS to two US government services: the National Library of Medicine's RxNorm (rxnav.nlm.nih.gov) for names and strengths, and openFDA (api.fda.gov) for the manufacturer's label text. Nothing else is sent, nothing identifies you, and Yepdose stores nothing there. These features are optional; you can type a medicine name without them.
Family sharing
If you choose to share a profile with a caregiver, sharing happens through Apple's iCloud sharing between your accounts. We are not a party to it and cannot read what is shared. You can stop sharing at any time from the app.
Apple Health
If you choose to import from Apple Health (iOS 26 or later), Yepdose reads only the medicines you tick on Apple's permission sheet and their dose log, on your device, once, to build your list. It does not send Health data anywhere. Apple does not allow apps to write medication records to Health.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No push server is involved for reminders. Caregiver alerts in the Family tier use Apple's CloudKit notifications between your own accounts.
Purchases
The Family tier is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles payment; we never see your payment details.
This website
yepdose.com is a static site with no cookies and no analytics. It is hosted by GitHub Pages, whose servers keep standard access logs under GitHub's privacy statement.
If you email us, we keep the message to answer it and delete it afterwards on request.
Children
Yepdose is not directed at children under 13. A parent may keep a child's profile within their own account; the data stays under the parent's control as described above.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
